Libellus Sanguinis 1: Masters of the State
Written by Craig Bolin, Richard E. Dansky, and Robert Hatch
August 1st, 1997

Born to Rule

These lands are mine, childer; mine for as far as your Cainite eyes can see. Who defended them when the barbarian hordes clamored to the north? Who fought off the howling infidels to the east? Who put down countless insurrections, both of Cainite and kine contrivance? It was I, my sons and daughters. I, who gave myself wholly unto my lands and their people; for their people are my people. My service is both a privilege and a responsibility, childer – as I am a master of the state.

Lore of the Clans
Written by: Alan Alexander, Kevin Czarnecki, Joshua Doetsch, Matt McElroy, Andrew Peregrine, Ree Soesbee, Rob Wieland, Christopher Wilde
December 23rd, 2015
My sire always told me, “There’s no instruction manual for being dead, strákur.” I believed her, because she was older and smarter than me, and we value knowledge if nothing else. Many sires spill a lot of poison into the ears of their childer, telling them the One True Way to be a vampire. Some vampires don’t even bother, kicking their errant progeny to the streets and letting them figure it out for themselves. A few smother their instruction in religious imperatives, philosophical tenets, or mystical confluences. But not one of them has a pamphlet with clear, easy instructions once you’ve become Damned.

Of course they lie. All vampires lie. But the best lies are those that are told between two truths, yes? Here are thirteen such truths, childe. They may line up with other things you know, or they might not. Sometimes the narrators present tantalizing rumors and conspiracies, while others digress into areas not often considered by many. Some of what they say have no facts to back them up, but not everything is a lie, either.
Let us find instruction from amidst the lies, together.

Vampire: the Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition - Episode 94

Wow, that is a really long title to a book, if you think about it. I know why we all call it V20 now! Anyways, this podcast is a tiny bit non-traditional. We definitely review V20, but more than that, we talk about how V20 has impacted us as gamers and podcasters. It’s no secret that V20 has been a major factor in revitalizing this game for many old school players. I don’t suspect anyone will be shocked about what we think of this game and book. This book was written by Justin Achilli, Rose Bailey, Matthew McFarland, and Eddy Webb for White Wolf publishing and released October 21st, 2011.

We’ve been doing this podcast for 2 years, this month. We are constantly overwhelmed by how much support we’ve gotten from the community and how much positivity we’ve received from you, the listener. We have a ton of things planned for the last quarter of 2018 and early 2019. We do have plans to expand our online store and provide some cool and unique extras to our listeners. Thank you to everyone that supports us here, on our Patreon and everywhere else. You may not agree with us all the time, but our hope is that you do find us engaging and entertaining!

Here’s to 25 more years of Vampire: the Masquerade and a ton more fun, gaming and the World of Darkness!

Clanbook: Tzimisce Revised
Written By: Lucian Soulban and James Stewart
Feb. 19th, 2001

A History of Evil
From the antitribu who forged the Sabbat to dreaded Dracula himself, the Tzimisce have carved an indelible place for themselves among the society of the Damned. The modern nights have caught up with these monsters, however, who have fallen from their place as masters of hoary estates to degenerates bound by the callous whims of the Sabbat.
The Flesh-Twisted Fiends
As the next entry in the revised lineup of clanbooks, Tzimisce takes one of the classic Vampire sourcebooks and brings it into a modern context. All-new information accompanies revised material, inviting you to add as much depth to your character as you like. The sheer volume of information contained in the new clanbooks (each with 32 more pages than the first-edition books) permits Storytellers to round out their chronicles.

Blood Magic: Secrets of Thaumaturgy
Jan. 12th, 2000
Written by:

Bruce Baugh, Chris Bjork, John Goff, Alan I. Kravit, Robin D. Laws and James Moore

Eldritch Texts and Kindred Blood
Blood magic, the jealously guarded secret of Clan Tremere, has long been observed with a wary eye. Is it the power of summoned demons? An application of the Blood's mystic properties? The will of spirits? Or is it something else altogether? Only those who master its dark secrets can know.

Hidden Lore Revealed
Blood Magic: Secrets of Thaumaturgy provides the answers to long-asked questions about this most powerful of Kindred Disciplines and explores a gamut of new possibilities. Included in the book are new paths and rituals as well as details on the lesser known but similar arcane practices. What is it about Thaumaturgy that has allowed the Tremere to ascend to prominence in the modern nights? This book examines the answer.

Clanbook: Tzimisce
Oct. 20th, 1995
Written by: Robert Hatch

Called "fiends" even by other vampires, the Tzimisce are the masterminds behind the dread Sabbat; their atrocities have given rise to the mortals' legends of vampires stalking human prey in the night. In rejecting their humanity, the Tzimisce hope to attain something far more wondrous. Should they achieve their aim, Kindred and kine alike will have reason to fear.

The Kindred Most Wanted
June 24th, 1994
Written by: Ran Ackels

We Have Nothing to Fear...
The vampires, the terrors of the dark, have their own secret fears. As they hunt, they watch over their shoulders. As they make their way from victim to victim, they listen with growing dread lest they become victims themselves. These lords of the night know that even the mightiest of the Damned can be brought down.

...Except Ourselves
Compiled in the early part of this century, the Red List, also known as the Kindred Most Wanted, catalogues the crimes and horrors committed by these hated outlaws. When the Justicars themselves, the most powerful of Cainites, cannot apprehend their enemies, they make them Anathema, hunted by all vampires.

Clanbook: Tremere - Episode 26

In this episode, we dig deep into the history of the most distrusted and feared of Camarilla Clans with Clanbook: Tremere.
"Clan Tremere is the second youngest of the vampiric clans, having just come into existence during the dark ages. In the little time since then they have made incredible inroads within vampiric society and are arguably the most powerful clan in the modern nights. This is due in no small part to their strict hierarchy, secretive nature, and mastery of Thaumaturgy, all of which elicit suspicion, fear, and respect from other Cainites. The Warlocks stand as a pillar of the Camarilla and are one of its main defenders, despite the fact that they exist almost as a subsect. Some even go so far as to consider themselves the evolution of vampirism, citing their extreme versatility of blood magic and lack of a true clan curse. The Final Nights have many things in store for the Tremere, however, and the more powerful they grow, the more their enemies gather - and in their bid for power, the Tremere have accumulated more enemies than most."

Clanbook: Tremere
May 13th, 1994
Written by: Keith Herber

Majesty and mystery - the two words are synonymous with the word "Tremere." Born of murder and greed, created for power and destruction, they are the most feared of the Camarilla clans. they are also the clan with the most to fear, for their enemies are everywhere, especially within their own ranks.

The Storytellers Handbook to the Sabbat - Episode 14

Thanks for checking back with us! In today's podcast, we discuss the MAJORITY of The Storytellers Handbook to the Sabbat. Towards the back third of the podcast, our recording machine took a dump, so the podcast cuts abruptly. Anyways, we are essentially working with cans and string. Thanks for your patience. Without further ado...

drivethrurpg.com

drivethrurpg.com

Storytellers Handbook to the Sabbat is the second sourcebook to describe the Sabbat, and serves as a companion to the earlier Players Guide to the Sabbat. The Handbook fleshes out background elements of the sect, and introduces two new Sabbat bloodlines. The book advanced the characterization of the Sabbat as thoroughly infested with infernalists, which persisted until Vampire: The Masquerade Revised Edition. This book also introduced the notion of Vicissitude as an infection — a concept that was later revisited in a drastically different form in Dirty Secrets of the Black Hand.

The Players Guide to the Sabbat - Episode 11

In this episode, we discuss the book, "the Players Guide to the Sabbat." It is the first Vampire: the Masquerade sourcebook to fully describe the Sabbat. Many prominent Sabbat-related elements of the setting, such as the antitribu and the Paths of Enlightenment, were introduced for the first time in this book. Additionally, the Lasombra and Tzimisce were described in detail for the first time in this book. This is a much longer podcast than normal, and we hope you folks enjoy it. We tried not to ramble or get overly detailed, but clearly the Sabbat is something we enjoy as players and storytellers. Thanks for listening!

the Players Guide to the Sabbat - 1992
Written By: Steven C. Brown

By Any Means Necessary
The Sabbat: a sect of diabolists and murderers whose sole purpose seems to be wanton destruction. These Night Fiends reject the ancient laws of the undead and revel in the fear and hatred they inspire, considering them tributes to their strength and courage.
The Prince of Freedom is Death
But there is a method to their madness. They are the true saviors of the undead, something only they can or will see. The Sabbat has gathered power for centuries, allying with the darkest powers of the supernatural, growing and expanding with only one purpose — the utter destruction of the Antediluvians.
