Mens Sana In Corpore Sano
By Secrets of the Masquerade

Follow this Coterie’s unique situation as they are struck both with incredible luck and incredible misfortune and find out the source of these bizarre events that have been plaguing their nightly lives for far too long.

This short supplement contains an easy to adapt one shot story to any city to introduce new players to Vampire the Masquerade, alongside premade characters and a descriptive of the situation they are involved in. The scope is small and oppresive to allow for a perfect “behind closed doors” personal horror tale. Most elements were left vague to give room for the storyteller to personalize and adapt the story to their specific needs.

New Blood is a scenario that can be used as a one-off, a chronicle starter or inserted into an ongoing chronicle. A rumor states that a Tremere and a mortal alchemist have been able to create alchemical blood that will nourish a Cainite. Now, delegations from around the world arrive in Languedoc to join an auction to buy the secret of this new blood.

Inside, you’ll find.

  • A scenario that can be played as neonates, experienced characters or even elders.

  • A look at the troubles faced by Cainites when traveling in the Dark Medieval World.

  • A large gallery of Storyteller Characters to use in this scenario and beyond.

Madison By Night
By Bill Bodden

"It is said that Madison is 94 square miles surrounded by reality. Honestly, though, the reality out there isn't much better than what we have in here."

Part supply depot, part library, and part fast-food joint, Madison is a one-stop shop for Anarchs looking to take over a piece of ground to call their own.

With a small permanent population of Kindred, Madison is easy to overlook but for one thing: they supply or directly support over half of the Anarch insurgencies on the North American continent.

Madison by Night includes:

  • A brief history of Madison, Wisconsin, from the early days of European immigrants and the arrival of the first Kindred to the Anarch take-over in the 1960s.

  • A listing of some of the more important Kindred-related sites in the Madison area

  • An overview of the Anarch Kindred who currently call Madison home.

Nerd Words Podcast 134.jpg

In this episode, we discuss our time away, crazy neighbors and living in new spaces, and we review the upcoming tabletop role-playing game, “They Came From Beneath the Sea!”

THEY CAME FROM BENEATH THE SEA!

They Came From Beneath The Sea! is a new game encompassing the wonder, horror, thrills, and hilarity of 1950s science fiction. This game will evoke all that is great in the B-Movies of decades ago, and provides a dynamic, fun experience at the table.

Our review starts about 30 minutes into the episode, if you want to jump ahead and skip our banter. “They Came From Beneath The Sea!” is developed and conceived by Matthew Dawkins and published by Onyx Path Publishing, planned for a 2020 release.

In this episode, we discuss the history of our storytelling, as well as our strategies when... storytelling. Thanks to Nathaniel Starr for the email and question that spurned this episode:

"So I've been reading the books and one thing the storyteller guides recommend is that you detail the city that you will be playing in. So my question is how would you go about that? The books are fairly general in what they want you to do to accomplish this. They mention mood, setting, and theme. They also talk about how you should outline the non-player characters in the city and get a rough understanding of what mortal institutions are being influenced by vampires.

But short of writing my own Las Vegas by Night book what have you found to be the best way to do this? What are some of the things you've done in the past? Do you have any tips for city design? Are there any musts or must nots? I don't want to overdo it and spend all my free time detailing the insides of casinos and stating out every pit boss, but I want the city to feel real and lived in for my players. Any advice would be much appreciated."
