In this episode, we talk about Nathan's essential inability to use the postal service properly, causal racism and the current situation of politics in gaming. It's a terrible podcast, no doubt! Check out our uncut version on our Patreon!
In this episode, Bob and Nate are joined by the whole gang. Jeff, Rachel and Nick join in on the podcast to talk about generally nerdy topics, including: Big Trouble in Little China, the mishaps of grilling, our experience at Indy PopCon, and running Changeling: the Dreaming.
In this episode, Rachel and Nathan chat with Bob about their recent experience at the OWBN L.A.R.P. in Indy, "Stars Never Rise."

In this episode of Nerd Words, we are joined by our friend and fellow gamer, Rachel. We talk about the perils of playing a Follower of Set, never playing Caitiff, some of the pratfalls and strategies you can use when playing the clan and strategies for getting into CWoD and Vampire: the Masquerade for the first time. Bob leaves. The end bumper is for him.
George Michael: Careless Whisper
Welcome to another episode of Nerd Words. In this episode, we are joined again by our special friends, Rachel and Jeff! More is always good! We talk about gaming and the obligatory White Wolf nod, a lack of personal self-control when playing video games and the perils of eating a lot of subway!
Bumper: the Toadies - Possum Kingdom
In this episode, we discuss the history of our storytelling, as well as our strategies when... storytelling. Thanks to Nathaniel Starr for the email and question that spurned this episode:
"So I've been reading the books and one thing the storyteller guides recommend is that you detail the city that you will be playing in. So my question is how would you go about that? The books are fairly general in what they want you to do to accomplish this. They mention mood, setting, and theme. They also talk about how you should outline the non-player characters in the city and get a rough understanding of what mortal institutions are being influenced by vampires.
But short of writing my own Las Vegas by Night book what have you found to be the best way to do this? What are some of the things you've done in the past? Do you have any tips for city design? Are there any musts or must nots? I don't want to overdo it and spend all my free time detailing the insides of casinos and stating out every pit boss, but I want the city to feel real and lived in for my players. Any advice would be much appreciated."
In this episode, we talk about ourselves and the shit we're doing! We welcome back our home dog, Jeff, to the podcast. It's all Curse of Caine, LARP and a deep dive into our own experiences being a bunch of dorks. Thanks for listening, and happy New Year!
In this episode, we talk about running games in places we've never been, Kindred of the East and obviously, the fan-made Highlander: the Gathering (which we incorrectly call 'the Quickening'.) All joking aside, anyone willing to sit down and write out their own take on a favorite and popular pop-culture icon should be supported. Check it out for a helping of awesome nostalgia, here: Highlander: the Gathering
Thanks for listening!

In this episode, we continue our conversation on Vampire: the Masquerade from our sister podcast. If you aren't currently a listener, head on over to our other podcast - 25 Years of Vampire: the Masquerade - and give it a go. We discuss LARP, Table-top and our history with playing and storytelling a classic game.
Hey everybody! We're back! We talk holidays, SJW type shit, WWE and some other stuff. Listen in, because what else would you be doing with your time?
Thanks for a great year of podcasting! In this, our anniversary show, we get drunk, talk surly and alienate everyone we love! Bob goes gaming and I have a bunch of our past guests on to talk about what the hell ever comes up. Here's to another year of fun and games!
The 40th episode! It's a grand affair. Bob and I are joined by our mutual friend, Liz. We talk about a bunch of stuff. Listen for yourself, you lazy bastard!
In this episode, Bob and I go one on one about what it is to be a "nerd", as well as our experiences in geek culture. We talk about what constitutes nerdy and how accepting or divisive the culture is, based on our experiences. We talk about V:tM some more (because we do that) and a bunch of other geeky shit.
In this episode, we talk about everything from Elder Scrolls: Online, "General Butt Naked", Dragon Ball Z, Sports Games, Xbox Live, cellphones, Oregon Trail and a bunch more. My bro Bob, Chance, and new guest, Brandon have a long-form discussion on all things video games and much more. I also recorded a new intro for the shows done from home, like this one.
So, after two shows, I decided it would be a good idea to change formats. Here it is: Nerd Words with Nate and Lee.
